The holmium laser in urology has enabled many patients, who may otherwise not be fit for surgery, to have a variety of treatments as day cases, enabling them to get on with their daily lives with minimal interruption.

This year, Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, Essex, is looking to raise £200,000 to buy this equipment and set up a 21st century urology service capable of delivering up to date treatment for the people of Essex.
